Several phone car mounts range from dashboard and car-vent mounts to cup-holder mounts. Some models feature a sensor that senses your phone’s proximity and automatically opens the mount’s arms. In contrast, others require manual clamping or a magnetic surface that needs a phone or case with a magnetic element. Specific magnetic mounts are also Apple MagSafe-compatible and certified as MagSafe accessories that support wireless charging up to 15 watts.
Please be aware that wireless charging mounts do not eliminate the need for wires. You still need to connect the charger to your car, but you won’t have to plug your phone into it whenever you need to charge it. For optimal wired and wireless charging speeds for iPhones and Android smartphones, you will require a power adapter with fast charging capabilities. Most fast chargers have a USB-C connection and deliver at least 20 watts of power.
Please note that CNET experts have tested and reviewed all the products in their vehicles. We regularly update this list as new car phone mounts become available and anticipate the release of more wireless car chargers in 2023.

The iOttie Auto Sense wireless car charger, available for $51 on Amazon, is a premium automatic clamping device with a phone mount, making it one of the best options on the market. While it may be a bit pricey, some recent discounts have been available. The Auto Sense Automatic Clamping Qi Charging Car Phone Mount comes in a dashboard mount version or a version that can be mounted on a CD holder, cup holder, or vent clip (the latter of which I tried). This wireless car charger mount boasts a well-designed telescoping arm and a strong suction cup, and its wireless charging feature is compatible with most phone cases. It provides 7.5-watt charging for iPhones and 10-watt charging for Android phones, which is considered fast wireless charging. The Auto Sense Wireless Car Charger Mount is also compatible with most phone cases.
This wireless charger utilizing Qi technology includes a USB cigarette lighter adapter capable of dual charging. My sole concern, albeit minor, is that the cable provided is Micro-USB instead of USB Type-C. Once connected to the wireless charging mount, the Qi charger requires little attention, except for the occasional mishap of the cable coming undone. Nevertheless, using a USB-C cable to charge your phone, especially while driving, would be more convenient.
$51 on Amazon, $60 on Crutchfield, and $54 at Best Buy.

ZeeHoo wireless car charger upgraded version
Incredible worth for all the featured functions
You can avail ZeeHoo wireless car charger if you are okay with an unpopular brand. It comes packed with all the required features to charge your smartphone, such as auto clamping and a strong suction cup that can be easily installed on your car’s dashboard, windshield, or air vent. It has a fast charging feature of up to 15 watts for Android phones that support it (Apple iPhones support only 7.5-watt charging). Besides, it has USB-C. The new upgraded design is much sleeker than the previous version and costs about $20 lesser than its counterpart iOttie. However, please note that ZeeHoo wireless car charger does not come with a cigarette lighter adapter, only a USB-C cable.
The autosensing telescopic arm is a standout feature of this generic wireless car charger, a popular choice among users. I have tried the original version and found it reliable, securely attaching to my car vent mount and providing a fast charge for my smartphone or QI-enabled device.
Please note that a compatible power adapter (not included) is required to utilise fast charging.

Lottie Easy One Touch 5 (2nd Generation)
Best dashboard phone mount under $25
$39 at Walmart$25 at Amazon$25 at Crutchfield
For those who prefer a phone mount without wireless charging or robotic arms, iOttie’s reliable Easy One Touch 5 is an excellent option with a price tag of around $25. While the first-generation model is available for $17, this newer version has a telescopic arm for added convenience.

Belkin Car Vent Mount Pro with MagSafe
Priced at $36 on Amazon, Best Buy, and Crutchfield, the Belkin Car Vent Mount Pro with MagSafe is technically not a charger but a certified MagSafe vent mount. While Belkin also offers a wireless charging version of this product (which costs $40 without the car charger or $60 with it), a cable still needs to be connected. The benefit of a wireless version is that it eliminates the need to plug a cable into your phone each time you want to charge it, unlike with the vent mount. The author has set up a USB-C-to-Lightning cable for fast charging in their car but does not enjoy plugging it in whenever they want to charge their phone.
That being said, the distinguishing feature of this Belkin mount compared to other comparable horses that lack MagSafe certification and have a similar appearance (and some even have wireless charging capabilities) is the Belkin mount’s strong magnet. Unlike many vent mounts that don’t have a strong interest, if you have a MagSafe case on your phone or a newer iPhone without a chance, the phone will securely attach to the mount. Additionally, the clip ensures that the support remains firmly attached to your vent, and you can adjust the peak from portrait to landscape orientation as required.

David Carnoy/CNET captured a screenshot of the Scosche Magic Mount Pro 2, the top magnetic car mount offering various mounting choices and available at Walmart, Best Buy, and Target for $40. After using it for a couple of weeks with my iPhone 14 Pro equipped with a MagSafe case, I can attest to its powerful magnet and adjustable swing arm, allowing for flexible phone positioning. However, it requires a cable connection since it’s not a wireless mount. Its unique arm design sets it apart from other magnetic car mounts, and I chose to use the car-vent option, but it’s also mountable on a dashboard, though most people prefer the air-vent choice.

Awelbuy Car Phone Holder
Affordable Foldable Dashboard Mount
$20 on Amazon
You are receiving price alerts for the Awelbuy Car Phone Holder.
I fixed the phone mount in my car to avoid having anything protruding from my dashboard when the holder wasn’t in use. Its clamshell pattern lets you place your phone inside by flipping the top lid open. You can keep your cellphone vertically if needed, although I prefer keeping it horizontally. Additionally, the holder base rotates, which is quite convenient.
Please note that a flat dashboard is required for mounting this product. It adheres to your dashboard or any other flat surface. The Awelbuy Cell Phone Holder for cars is priced at $20 on Amazon, and you are receiving price alerts for it.
Belkin offers a variety of car mounts for MagSafe, including the $40 car-vent mount and the Apple-certified BoostCharge Pro, which can wirelessly charge iPhones at up to 15 watts for $100. The Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Wireless Car Charger charges iPhones at up to 10 watts and costs about $60. It has a removable USB-C cable (unlike the integrated cable on the BoostCharge Pro) and a 20-watt power adapter plugged into a cigarette lighter. Although I prefer a car power adapter with two USB-C ports to allow a passenger to charge their phone as well, this can be added later.

Spigen Mag Fit car mount for a phone holder
Affordable mount compatible with Apple MagSafe wireless charger
$30 on Amazon. You have received price alerts for the Spigen Mag Fit phone holder car mount.
If you already possess Apple’s MagSafe wireless charging puck, this Spigen mounting accessory is a viable choice for incorporating it into your car. However, it’s worth noting that the MagSafe wireless charger and the USB-C cigarette lighter adapter are not included. Despite this, for only $18, this magnetic mounting accessory is relatively inexpensive.
Note: Use the correct cigarette lighter adapter to achieve the highest 15-watt charging speeds. Additionally, since this heavily depends on the magnets from the wireless charging puck for holding your phone in place (MagSafe case necessary if you use a point), it’s not advisable to use it for the giant iPhone 13 Max Pro or larger iPhone 14 models due to their weight, which makes it more probable for them to slip off the mount, particularly if you encounter bumps.

While some favour cup holder phone mounts, it’s important to note that they may occupy one of your cup holders. Despite being a standard option, the Tecknet mount is an excellent choice for those seeking this type of mount, featuring a flexible gooseneck for optimum phone placement and a convenient one-touch release mechanism. Additionally, it includes a car-vent mount for added versatility.

Aukey
Ainope Mini Fast USB car charger
The finest quick-charging USB-C cigarette lighter adapter
You can get it for $14 from Amazon. You’re being notified about price changes for the Ainope Mini Fast USB car charger.
This product may not be a wireless charger; still, since many of the wireless car chargers mentioned in this list don’t come with a cigarette lighter power adapter, I decided to add it to the list at the end. Initially, I included an Aukey power adapter. Still, it’s currently unavailable, and this Ainope mini fast USB Car Charger, with its low profile, provides even more rapid charging (up to 24 watts) and is more affordable. It features a USB-C and USB-A port, meaning that two devices can be charged concurrently, although if you want to use the 15-watt wireless charging, it’s advised to set just one device.
Please note that if you want the fastest wired charging for iPhones, you must utilize a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is not part of the package.
The Ainope Mini Fast USB car charger is currently priced at $14 on Amazon, and you have been receiving notifications about its price fluctuations.
