Phantom 3 Advance Drone Camera

Incubated by Insta360, the Antigravity A1 is unlike any drone I've flown. Instead of dual sticks, you fly with a motion-sensing Grip Controller while wearing head-tracking Vision Goggles — tilt your hand to steer, turn your head to look around. With dual-lens 8K 360° capture, you "fly first, frame later."

Key Specs

  • Dual-lens 1/1.28" CMOS, 8K 30p / 5.2K 60p / 4K 100p 360° video
  • FlowState stabilization with "invisible drone" effect
  • 249g with standard battery (EU C0 class)
  • 24 min standard / 39 min high-capacity battery
  • Forward/downward obstacle avoidance + 3D infrared
  • Vision Goggles with head tracking, dual Micro-OLED displays
  • 20GB internal + microSD (up to 1TB)

The Flying Experience

Flying the A1 is genuinely immersive. The goggles track your head movements in real-time — look left, the drone's view follows. The Grip Controller uses FreeMotion Mode: point it where you want to go and the drone responds. Coming from traditional dual-stick flying, there's a learning curve, but it's intuitive once muscle memory kicks in.

The 360° capture is the headline feature. Worry less about framing in-flight and more about flying well — reframe everything in post. Sky Path and Sky Genie autonomous modes handle complex flight paths automatically. The goggles include a passthrough camera for situational awareness without removing them.

Limitations

The light weight means wind impacts stability and battery life. The goggles are bulky, and remembering all controller buttons while wearing them takes practice. At 249g with the standard battery, range and wind resistance are limited compared to larger drones.

Bundles

  • Standard: Drone, goggles, controller, carry case
  • Explorer: +3 batteries, charging hub, sling bag

FAQ

Q: Can I fly the A1 without the Vision Goggles? No — the goggles are the control center, containing the menu system and video feed.

Q: Is this an FPV drone? It's similar but distinct — you can fly in FPV mode, but the 360° capture and motion controller create a different experience focused on creative reframing.

Q: Do I need a spotter? Highly recommended, especially when wearing the goggles.
